Changes to the Euskotren tram service in Vitoria-Gasteiz for the Christmas festivities
• There will be alterations to the tram service on 24, 25 and 31 December, as well as on 1 January.
• For the second year running, a special night service will be available from 31 December to 1 January.
Euskotren, the publicly-owned company under the Basque Government’s Ministry of Sustainable Mobility, will alter the Vitoria-Gasteiz tram service on 24, 25 and 31 December, as well as on 1 January, for the Christmas festivities. There will also be a special night tram service from 31 December to 1 January.
The service will end early on 24 and 31 December for the dinners on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. On 25 December, the service will start later in the morning and will not run at midday for Christmas Day lunch. The tramway will return to normal service from 5.00 p.m., approximately.
As regards 1 January, a special night service will run from 1.15 a.m., with trams every 30 minutes until 10.00 a.m., when the service will return to its regular bank holiday timetable. The service will stop at midday for New Year’s Day lunches and will restart at 5.00 p.m.
The service will be run as follows:

- Abetxuko-Unibertsitatea: 8.36 p.m.

- Salburua-Ibaiondo: 10.44 a.m.

NIGHT SERVICE ON NEW YEAR’S EVE AND EARLY MORNING ON 1 JANUARY
For the second year running, Euskotren will provide a special night service from 31 December to 1 January. The night-service trams will run every 30 minutes from 1.15 a.m., until the bank holiday morning timetable starts from 10.00 a.m.
The first departures of the night trams will be as follows:
- Ibaiondo-Salburua: 1.15 a.m.
- Salburua-Ibaiondo: 1.30 a.m.
- Abetxuko-Unibertsitatea: 1.29 a.m.
- Unibertsitatea-Abetxuko: 1.24 a.m.
As regards the last departures of the special night service - before turning to the morning service on the 1st - they will be as follows:
- Ibaiondo-Salburua: 9.45 a.m.
- Salburua-Ibaiondo: 10.30 a.m.
- Abetxuko-Unibertsitatea: 9.29 a.m.
- Unibertsitatea-Abetxuko: 9.42 a.m.
The bank holiday timetable will then continue until the trams stop at midday. The last morning services on 1 January will be as follows:
- Ibaiondo-Salburua: 12.45 p.m.
- Salburua-Ibaiondo: 1.29 p.m.
- Abetxuko-Unibertsitatea: 12.51 p.m.
- Unibertsitatea-Abetxuko: 1.13 p.m.
In turn, the first services in the evening on the 1st will be as follows:
- Ibaiondo-Salburua: 5.00 p.m.
- Salburua-Ibaiondo: 5.44 p.m.
- Abetxuko-Unibertsitatea: 5.06 p.m.
- Unibertsitatea-Abetxuko: 5.28 p.m.
